Kent Willis qualified for Regionals in Cross Country his Junior and Senior year in High School.  Kent also participated in football, basketball, and track. 

After graduating from Grapeland High School, Willis went on to run Cross Country for the University of Texas at Tyler and also for Dallas Baptist University.

Kent Willis earned his doctorate degree from Hampton University in higher education.  Willis holds a Master of Education from East Central University and a graduate certificate in non-profit management from Texas A&M University.  He also earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communicationsfrom Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, TX.
