  • Hello! I am Sherri Kendrick and I currently teach Geometry and Algebra 2, and assist with Sandiette volleyball, basketball, and track. I recently finished my 36th year in education! My first two years were in Latexo working for the Special Education Cooperative, then two years in Slocum in the administration offices. I left Slocum and came to Grapeland as an aide while finishing my teaching degree. I worked with the GT, Dyslexia, and Title I Math programs as an aide. I began my first year as an “official” teacher in August, 1991 in Grapeland. I taught in Grapeland for 20 years, then went to Neches for 5 years, Palestine for 2 years, then returned to Grapeland and have been here for the past 3 years. During my career, I have taught 3rd and 4th grade self-contained, 3rd-7th grade math, Algebra 1, Math Models, Geometry, Algebra 2, Pre-Calculus, and Calculus. The students of Grapeland have had my heart for the majority of my career; 25 years so far. My students make my years special and THEY are the reason I teach!!

  • Hey Everyone, I’m Coach Will Kollet. I’m a native East Texan who graduated College at Austin College and a 4 year letterman on the basketball team. Although graduating with a major in business administration, my passion of basketball continued to grow and coaching called my name. I’ve been coaching for 3 years, going on 4, and I’m looking forward to bringing my hype and youth to not only the athletes I work with, but the students I’ll be teaching in JH history and the community as well. LETS GO! Go Sandies??
  • Hey! My name is Jocelyn Santos, and I am your Distance Learning Coordinator. I'm originally from Houston, Tx and graduated from Victory Early College High school. I then went on to continue my studies at Stephen F. Austin State University graduating in 2018 with a BA in Management. I love setting people up for success in their future, and can't wait to have your student talk to me about what they want to do in their lives. This will be my first year in a classroom, prior to this I worked as managers for companies such as Ashley's Homestore and Mattress Firm. I'm blessed to have my wonderful Husband (Moises Santos) support our growth in the school and can't wait to see the future of our Sandie Pride grow. Remember, no dream isn't too big to achieve, and I hope to help your students achieve their goals in the years to come!

  • Howdy! My name is Moises Santos, and I am a Music Educator. My passion has always been in the arts, which is why the hardest choice I had to make was whether to major in theater, art, or music in college! Music won out, and I dedicated myself to perfecting not only my abilities, but my teaching method as well. I graduated from Tyler Junior College in the spring of 2013 and Stephen F. Austin University in the fall of 2016. I went on to teach not only music, but core subjects as well. I personally believe that nothing worth doing, is ever easy and that a job done well the first time, does not require a second time. To some I may seem serious, but that usually means that I'm thinking of a new way to improve on something currently in development. So remember, if you don't see me smiling, it's probably because I'm thinking of the next great thing the Mighty Wind Machine Band can accomplish! SANDIE PRIDE, NEVER DIES!
