Upon graduating from GHS in 1985 she signed to play basketball for the Stephen F. Austin Lady Jacks.  She is ranked 6th in SFA history in Assists/Game and in the 1985/1986 and 1986/1987 seasons she held the #1 spot for highest number of assists.
