  • Bonita Killgo GrapelandISD, Junior High Science Department bkillgo@grapelandisd.net I enjoy teaching now just as much as I did when I started my career. I want to share my love of the sciences with my students. I aim to help them generate and answer questions about the world around them. Supplies needed for my classes include a journaling composition notebook, scissors, glue, tape, paper and pencil. Twist up color crayons would also be most helpful although not required. It is very helpful for your child to have the supplies for the first day of school. Since the students are involved in science laboratory activities I may ask for donations at that time but again they are not required. I do have before and after school tutorials for any student that needs this help. Schedule times are posted in the classroom. For a Great Science tutor go to Khan Academy, Study Jams, and Make Me Genius. Just look up an area of need and click on the videos. I can be reached at the above email for scheduling of conference times.

  • Howdy! My name is Moises Santos, and I am a Music Educator. My passion has always been in the arts, which is why the hardest choice I had to make was whether to major in theater, art, or music in college! Music won out, and I dedicated myself to perfecting not only my abilities, but my teaching method as well. I graduated from Tyler Junior College in the spring of 2013 and Stephen F. Austin University in the fall of 2016. I went on to teach not only music, but core subjects as well. I personally believe that nothing worth doing, is ever easy and that a job done well the first time, does not require a second time. To some I may seem serious, but that usually means that I'm thinking of a new way to improve on something currently in development. So remember, if you don't see me smiling, it's probably because I'm thinking of the next great thing the Mighty Wind Machine Band can accomplish! SANDIE PRIDE, NEVER DIES!

  • My name is Angie Conner and I am the art teacher at Grapeland Jr. High and High School. This is my 11th year at Grapeland I.S.D. and my 2nd year as the art teacher. I am also the yearbook sponsor this year, which I am very excited about. I am a 1990 graduate of Crockett High School and a 2009 graduate of Stephen F. Austin State University. I have been married to my wonderful husband, Rusty Conner, for 29 years. We have 3 daughters: Elizabeth Conner, 2014 graduate of Grapeland High School and 2019 graduate of Sam Houston State University; Madelyn Bedre, 2018 graduate of Grapeland High School and current sophomore at Angelina College; and Gracie Conner, current junior at Grapeland High School. We have 1 grandson, Grayson Conner Bedre, who is 8 weeks old. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family and helping my husband run our sign and trophy business in Crockett. In the art room, my goal is to encourage my students to create art that they can be proud to display. I also want them to gain an appreciation for art and artists. I look forward to a great year at Grapeland!
  • My name is Katie Doughty and this will be my 7th year in education. My passion is working with students to help them unlock their potential in order to accomplish their goals and dreams. I have spent the past 6 years teaching Math and Science and am excited to make the transition to Associate Principal of Instruction and Guidance. I graduated from Austin College in 2012 with a Bachelor's in Business Administration. In May 2018, I graduated from Lamar University with my Master's in School Counseling. I am happily married to my husband Blake and we have one son Grayson. We have a daughter, Harper, who will be here in October. My husband is a coach here at Grapeland so you will frequently see the Doughty family at all Sandie events. I am excited to service the students and community of Grapeland ISD! #SPND
