Grapeland Elementary
School and the Get Involved, Volunteer in Education
(G.I.V.E.) Organization would like to invite you to
volunteer at the school. It is a great way to show
the children of our community that we take an
interest in their education and that we consider the
students of Grapeland a worthwhile cause. Parents
and community members offer huge resources and a
support base for the school community while showing
the students the importance of participating in the
larger community. We also would like to reach out
to our senior citizens as volunteers. The teaming
of senior citizens and children has proven to be a
natural and effective combination, as well.
We need dedicated
assistance at a time when there is pressure to boost
low-achieving students' performance. Volunteers
dispense levels of love that many of the children
crave. The G.I.V.E. program servers so many needs and
generates so much good feelings that Grapeland
Elementary School would like to see it grow. Many of
our community members have a wealth of experience to
pass on to children.
Here are
ways in which you can G.I.V.E.

a classroom helper
